"Sarpaneva ja muodon taju" is a four-part documentary series exploring the life, personality and creative work of Finnish designer and artist Timo Sarpaneva. The series follows his journey from modest beginnings to the forefront of the international art and design world, focusing particularly on his experimental and playful early encounters with glass and the passion they inspired.

At the centre of the story is Sarpaneva’s remarkable rise as an artist, including the international recognition of his iconic Orkidea glass sculpture, which was named the world’s most beautiful object in 1954. Through interviews with family members, friends and experts, the series offers insight into Sarpaneva’s personality, working methods and the origins and distinctive character of his art.
