The series is technically defined by its deep cobalt blue brushwork, hand-painted onto light faience or stoneware, making the intensity and detail of each piece unique. Due to its timeless form, the authenticity of the hand-crafted work, and its historical significance, this teapot is a highly valued collector's item that offers stable long-term investment value. Ulla Procopé

Ulrika (Ulla) Eleonora Matilda Procopé-Nyman (1921–1968). One of the most influential ceramic designers of Finland's Golden Age of Design, Ulla Procopé devoted her entire professional career to Arabia, where she transformed everyday tableware through timeless forms and exceptional craftsmanship. After graduating from the Central School of Industrial Arts in Helsinki in 1948, she joined Arabia, creating both the shapes and, in many cases, the decorations for her designs. Her work combined clean, functional forms with rich glazes and outstanding durability, making stoneware an essential part of modern Scandinavian living. Among her best-known creations are the hand-painted Valencia collection, inspired by Mediterranean ceramics, and the iconic Ruska stoneware series, whose unique reactive glaze gives every piece an individual character. She also designed celebrated collections including Anemone, Rosmarin, Meri, Liekki and GA, establishing a design language that remains instantly recognisable today. Admired for balancing practicality with warmth and understated elegance, Procopé's work continues to be among the most collected and enduring classics in the history of Finnish ceramics.
