Theodor Käppi
Theodor Käppi (1902–1972) was a master engraver and designer whose career was deeply intertwined with the craftsmanship of the Iittala glassworks. Joining the factory in the 1930s, he became an essential figure in translating complex artistic visions into physical reality through his exquisite engraving skills. While often working behind the scenes of grand projects, his own designs are celebrated for their classic, refined lines and technical perfection. He represents the golden era of Finnish glass, where the skill of the hand was as vital as the vision of the mind.
