Anja Jaatinen-Winquist
Anja Jaatinen-Winquist (1934 – 2015) was a pivotal figure in the golden era of Finnish ceramics, spending nearly two decades at the prestigious Arabia factory. Her work is a perfect harmony of rustic warmth and modern functionality, bridging the gap between decorative art and everyday use. While she produced many elegant forms, she is best remembered for the beloved Karelia series. Its earthy, iron-oxide hand-painted details capture the rugged soul of the Finnish landscape, making it a timeless staple in homes across Scandinavia.
