Erkkitapio Siiroinen
Erkkitapio Siiroinen (1944–1996). A bold representative of the "pop" generation in Finnish glass design, Erkkitapio Siiroinen brought a sense of playful geometry and vibrant energy to the Riihimäki Glassworks. Working at the peak of the factory's creative era in the 1960s and 70s, he became famous for his thick-walled, sculptural objects that captured the modern, upbeat spirit of the time. Siiroinen is best known for iconic designs like the Noppapullo (Dice Bottle) and the Veturipullo (Locomotive Bottle), which remain highly sought-after treasures for collectors. His work is a celebration of jewel-toned colors and futuristic shapes, defining a unique and colorful chapter in Scandinavian design history.
