This mold-blown drinking glass is a prime example of Wirkkala's design philosophy, achieving timeless elegance with minimal means. Originally created as a drinking glass, its clean lines and precise proportions have made it a highly regarded design object among collectors, often used as a decorative vase. Model 2204 was known for its rich color palette – the highly sought-after amethyst purple, green, and blue. Each of these shades is part of the legacy of the golden age of Finnish glass art, reflecting Wirkkala's vision of integrating quality design into everyday use.
